Volunteer/Billeting

Volunteer with us!!!!

Join the Quesnel River Rush Volunteer Team – 2025/2026 Season!!!
Thank you to everyone who made last season such a huge success — over 50 incredible volunteers stepped up and helped us create an unforgettable year! From keeping things running behind the scenes to helping fans feel welcome, none of it would’ve been possible without you. We capped it off with a great year-end celebration at The Mill Pub, and we’re already looking forward to making this season’s party even better.

As we gear up for the 2025/2026 season, we’re once again reaching out to our amazing community. Our goal is to build a strong volunteer roster so that no one feels overwhelmed, and everyone can still enjoy the game from the stands now and then. We want volunteering to be fun, flexible, and rewarding.

The Quesnel River Rush will be hosting 24 home games this season — typically 1 game per weekend with a few double headers throughout the fall and winter, with the occasional weekday game. We’re looking for a variety of volunteers to help out part-time across several fun and important roles.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Flexible scheduling — share the load so everyone gets a chance to watch and enjoy
  • Free entry to games, plus a bonus ticket for a friend or family member
  • A chance to be part of a growing team and tight-knit hockey community
  • Big appreciation and recognition, both during the season and at our end-of-year celebration

When we come together to support our team, we’re not just building a winning season, we’re building a stronger, more connected community.

Welcome Quesnel River Rush Players into Your Home!!

.

As the Quesnel River Rush prepare for the 2025-2026 season, we are looking for host families for our out-of-town players. We had an absolutely successful season with nearly all our billet homes returning for a second year – however – we are still in need of 5-6 Billet homes with some of our veterans who were staying with family – moving on.  We are also in need of “Emergency” short term Billet homes as well!

Hosting a young athlete can be an exciting and rewarding experience for those who wish to open their homes. These players, aged 16 to 20 – mainly 19-20 year olds, are often away from home for the first time and adjusting to a higher level of hockey, a new school, and an unfamiliar community. Your support as a host family is crucial to their success, and something that plays a very important role.

These players are young and in need of rules, guidance, friendship, and acceptance.

If you are interested in being a part of the River Rush Billet Program, please fill the form out below.  We do take our hosting family vetting serious – so please don’t mind all the questions. We want to make sure we fit the players correctly to make it the best experience for everyone! ☺️
