The British Columbia Hockey Conference announced today the coaches and team staff that will be a part of the second annual BCHC Prospects Game on Tuesday, November 28th at McArthur Park Arena in Kamloops, BC.
The KIJHL’s Top Prospects team will once again be led by Grand Forks Border Bruins head coach Dave Hnatiuk, who guided the KIJHL to a 4-3 victory over the PJHL in the inaugural event last fall in Chilliwack. He will be assisted by Nelson Leafs head coach Briar McNaney and Revelstoke Grizzlies head coach Jiri Novak, while Nelson Leafs general manager Lance Morey has been named the team’s Operations Manager and Grand Forks Border Bruins trainer Brian Burdikin has been named the Athletic Trainer & Equipment Manager.
“I’m very excited to be back leading the KIJHL Top Prospects team at this event and getting to work with a tremendous staff in Briar, Jiri, Lance and Brian,” says Hnatiuk. “We’re looking forward to getting our team roster set and beginning preparations in order to be our best when the team comes together in Kamloops next month.”
Meanwhile, the PJHL Top Prospects team staff includes head coach Aldo Bruno (Grandview Steelers) and assistant coaches Andy Liboiron (Surrey Knights) and Cullen Revel (Richmond Sockeyes), while the team’s Operations Manager position is being split between a trio of PJHL general managers — Derek Bedard (Ridge Meadows Flames), Will Kump (Richmond Sockeyes) and Clayton Robinson (Chilliwack Jets). Meanwhile, Abbotsford Pilots trainer Kristalee Walchuk will return for a second year as the team’s Athletic Trainer & Equipment Manager.
Team rosters for the inaugural BCHC Prospects Game will be announced on Monday, November 6th.
