QUESNEL SPRING PROGRAM ALL AGES:
SPRING HOCKEY IS BACK!We’re excited to be offering Spring Hockey again! After a great response last season, we’re thrilled to bring back multiple weeks of hockey, well into MAY! This is a huge opportunity for Quesnel to keep the ice in longer, saving travel anywhere else!!!
PLEASE NOTE: THE SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE DEPENDING ON REGISTRATION – ESPECIALLY 4V4. A FINAL SCHEDULE WILL BE SENT OUT TO EVERYONE REGISTERED THE WEEK PRIOR TO START.
Important things to note:
- 4V4 will be based on the amount of registrations – the schedule may be changed quite a bit if we have an overage and can complete multiple teams.
- Junior Pro Skate, this is a mix of scrimmage and skills meant for ages 15-20. Not hitting.
- Adult Skills Sessions, this is for our beginners or mid levels wanting to learn
- The Regular U7-U18 sessions will be a complete mix of Power Skating, Edge work, puck skills, positioning etc. U7 and U9 are combined, and U13 and U15 are combined.
- Any players found to be disruptive, abusive or in anyway disrespectful to coaches or other players will be issued 1 warning, and then removal from camp without a refund.
Beginners are welcome!
However, participants must be able to stand and stride independently. Pace and skill level are not a concern.

Welcome to the Quesnel River Rush’s Spring Hockey for U16 and U18
U16 Spring Hockey

The Quesnel River Rush U16 (Birth Years 2011/2012) Spring Hockey Team will compete in the newly formed Western Canadian Spring Hockey League. The Western Canadian Spring Hockey League has been formed with the goal of showcasing potential junior hockey players to junior hockey stakeholders. The league puts the players in a competitive environment and allows the players to better show their ability to play at the next level.
Program Includes:
- Team plays in 4 showcases (Four 2-hour games per showcase)
- Experienced Coach & Trainer for each showcase
- Team jersey & socks
- Team dryfit shirt & shorts
- League website with player statistics, league standings, etc.
Benefits:
- Playing for and in front of Quesnel River Rush team staff
- Playing against and in front of other junior hockey teams’ staff and stakeholders
- Playing in a competitive environment against other motivated junior prospects
- Playing on a platform that allows a player to both showcase themselves physically in person and leave data and results for future scouting
Cost: $2,000.00 + GST per player
Showcase Schedule:
Kamloops – Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26
Quesnel – Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3
Okotoks – Friday, May 22 to Sunday, May 24
Edmonton (Morinville) – Friday, May 29 to Sunday, May 31 (Championship Weekend)
Application/Recruiting:
There will not be a formal tryout for the Quesnel River Rush U16 Spring Hockey Team. The Quesnel River Rush team staff will use the below mentioned methods of scouting where possible to best recruit a competitive team.
- Players will fill out an application form, and Quesnel River Rush staff will review video, scout games, and talk with current and past coaches and staff.
